Add Your Palworld Clan

Palworld has guilds built into the game, but a guild only exists inside one world. Leave the server and the guild, its bases and its shared storage stay behind. That makes choosing a clan in Palworld mostly a question of choosing the right server and the right people on it.

A group here is the part that travels: the players themselves, their schedule, and their Discord. If a server shuts down or a new one starts fresh, the group moves together instead of scattering.

What a Palworld guild actually does

Everyone in a guild shares its bases. By default a guild can place four bases, and a server owner can raise that to as many as ten. Guild members can use guild chests and the Dimensional Pal Storage, which holds far more than a normal Palbox and can be set private per player if you do not want your best breeding stock borrowed.

Since 1.0, guilds have roles, each with its own permissions, and some structures can be restricted to particular roles. A well-run guild uses that to let new members gather and craft without being able to empty the storage or tear down the factory. Login and logout notifications and a shared map marker make it easier to coordinate who is on and where to meet.

How many players a guild can hold is not fixed by the game. It is a server setting, so the same guild might be capped small on a PvP server and left large on a relaxed PvE one. Ask before you assume.

How to pick a Palworld server or guild

Start with dedicated server versus co-op world. A co-op world caps out at four players and only exists while its host is online, so it suits an existing group of friends. A guild worth joining almost always lives on a dedicated server, where the world keeps running and up to 32 players share it.

Then PvP or PvE. PvP is an opt-in server setting that Pocketpair describes as a trial feature not covered by support. With it on, players can hurt each other, your base Pals attack trespassers, other guilds can open your chests, and you cannot build or repair inside a base while it is under attack. A PvE server leaves all of that off, so read the server description before you build anything.

Then the rules that cost you things. Servers choose a death penalty — drop nothing, drop items, drop items and equipment, or drop everything including the Pals on your team — and can switch on Hardcore, where you cannot respawn, or permanent Pal loss on death. A guild that raids at night on a full-loss server is a different commitment from one on a no-drop server.

Then schedule and platform. Some servers wipe a guild's buildings and base Pals if no member logs in for a set period, so a guild in your timezone keeps its bases alive in a way a guild that is asleep when you play cannot. And if anyone in your group is on Xbox or PS5, the server has to be listed as a community server, because console players cannot join by IP address.

Why a guild helps once you are in

Base raids come in waves, and since 1.0 the raiders scale with the level of the Work Pals at the base you built up. A base with one owner who is offline when a raid starts is a base with only its Pals for defence. A guild with members across a few timezones covers more of the day.

Raid bosses are summoned and fought together, but a guild can only have one raid boss battle running at a time, so a group that agrees who is summoning and when gets more attempts in than four people triggering fights independently. The same goes for tower bosses on their harder settings: one planned attempt with the right Pals beats several improvised ones.

Palworld Clans — Frequently Asked Questions

How do guilds work in Palworld?

A guild is a group of players in one world who share bases, guild chests and Dimensional Pal Storage. Guilds have roles with separate permissions, so a leader can limit what new members can open or dismantle. A guild exists only on the server or world where it was made.

How many players can be in a Palworld guild?

It depends on the server. Guild size is a setting each dedicated server owner chooses, so there is no single number that applies everywhere. The server itself holds up to 32 players, and a co-op world holds four, which caps any guild in it at four as well.

How many bases can a Palworld guild have?

Four by default. A server owner can raise the limit to ten or lower it; Pocketpair's own recommended PvP settings use two, to cut server load. All members share every base the guild places.

How do I find a Palworld server to join?

Open the server list in game and browse the Community server tab, or enter an IP address and port if someone has given you a private server. Server descriptions are short, so ask about PvP, death penalty and timezone before you commit. If you would rather join people than a server, a group here can tell you where they play.

Can PS5 and Xbox players join a Palworld dedicated server?

Yes, but only if the server is listed as a community server on the in-game server list. Console players cannot connect by IP address, so a private server shared by IP is reachable only from PC and Mac. Crossplay is on by default, though a server owner can limit which platforms may connect.

Should I join a PvP or PvE Palworld server?

Join PvE unless you specifically want other players raiding your base. PvP is an opt-in setting that Pocketpair calls a trial feature, and it lets other guilds damage you and open your chests. Check the death penalty either way, since some servers drop your whole Pal team when you die.
