Start a Palworld Clan Browse Palworld clansPalworld is a creature-catching survival game where the Pals you capture also fight for you, farm for you and staff your factories. You can play the whole thing alone, but the shape of the game changes with other people in it: bases get bigger, raids get easier to hold, and a guild that shares storage and work Pals progresses faster than four players each building the same base from scratch.
Pocketpair took the game out of Early Access with the 1.0 release in July 2026, after two and a half years of updates. Several of those updates were about playing together, which is why the multiplayer side looks quite different from how it did at launch.

Co-op worlds and dedicated servers are different games
A co-op world is one player's save with up to three friends invited into it, four people in total. It is the quickest way to play with people you already know, and it carries the host's limits: when the host is offline, the world is too.
A dedicated server holds up to 32 players and runs without anyone keeping the game open, so the world, the bases and the Pals working in them persist whether or not you are logged in. The server owner sets the rules — difficulty multipliers, death penalty, whether PvP is on, how big a guild can get, how many bases each guild may place.
A community server is simply a dedicated server that has registered itself on the in-game server list. You find those by browsing the Community server tab; a private dedicated server you join by typing its IP address and port, usually with a password the owner gives you.
If you want a regular group of more than four, or a world that keeps running while you sleep, you want a server. If you want to play with two friends on Saturday, a co-op world is less work.
Crossplay, and the console catch
Crossplay arrived in March 2025 and covers every platform Palworld ships on: Steam, Xbox (including the Microsoft Store PC version), PS5 and Mac. Servers allow all of them by default, and an owner can narrow that list if they want a single-platform server.
The catch is joining. Xbox and PS5 players cannot type in an IP address; they can only join dedicated servers that are listed as community servers. So a console player looking for a server should ask one thing before anything else: is it on the public list? A private, password-only server run for PC friends may be unreachable from a console even though crossplay is technically on.
Voice is the other platform gap. In-game voice chat exists, but only on dedicated servers where the owner has switched it on, and not on the Microsoft Store (WinGDK) PC version. Linking a Discord account to send invites works only on the Steam and Mac versions. Most groups that play together across platforms end up talking on Discord.

What 1.0 changed for playing together
Guilds got the biggest rework. They now have roles with their own permissions, certain structures can be locked to specific roles, members get notified when guildmates log in or out, and a guild marker can be shared on the map. On a busy server that means you can let a new member in without handing them the keys to every chest.
Base raids became wave-based, with rewards for clearing every wave, and the raiders' level now scales with the Work Pals assigned to the base. Defence structures and who is online when a raid lands matter more than they did. A negotiator can also show up and call a raid off for gold coins, if you would rather pay than fight.
Joining servers was cleaned up too: saved passwords, easier IP entry, and a server list that is less painful to scroll. Dedicated servers now default to settings close to single-player Normal, so a fresh server no longer plays noticeably harder or easier than the campaign you started alone.
Where to find people, and what each place is good for
The in-game community server list is the fastest route into a populated world. Its weakness is that a server name and a one-line description tell you almost nothing about the people, the rules enforcement, or whether anyone is on at your hours.
The official Pocketpair Discord is the largest general gathering place for Palworld and Craftopia players, and good for asking questions and spotting server advertisements. Messages scroll away quickly, though, so it is better for a quick answer than for a standing arrangement.
What a site like this one adds is time and persistence. A posted session has a start time and open slots — a raid boss attempt, a tower run, a new server's first night — so people in your timezone can find it hours later. A group is the standing version: players who keep showing up, whose sessions a Discord bot can post straight into the group's own Discord server.

Palworld — Frequently Asked Questions
How many players can play Palworld together?
Four in a co-op world, and up to 32 on a dedicated server. A co-op world is one player hosting and inviting up to three others. A dedicated server runs on its own, without anyone keeping the game open, and its owner sets the player limit up to 32.
Does Palworld have crossplay?
Yes. Since March 2025, Steam, Xbox (including the Microsoft Store PC version), PS5 and Mac players can all play together. Servers allow every platform by default. The one limit is that Xbox and PS5 players can only join dedicated servers that appear on the in-game community server list, not private servers reached by IP address.
Is Palworld still in Early Access?
No. Palworld entered Early Access in January 2024 and left it with the 1.0 release in July 2026. It is a paid game that continues to receive updates.
How do I find people to play Palworld with?
Decide first whether you want a small co-op world or a server. For a server, browse the Community server tab in game or ask in the official Pocketpair Discord. For a regular group on your schedule, join a group or answer a posted session here — it gives you people in your timezone and a start time, which a server list cannot.
Can you play Palworld solo?
Yes. The whole game, including the story, bosses and base building, is playable alone and offline. Multiplayer mainly changes scale: shared bases, guild storage, and more hands when a raid hits or a raid boss is summoned.
